Wisdom in Words: Guiding Faith Without Contamination

What a beautiful feeling when we read devotionals and words or phrases that stand out from the book itself and speak to our hearts. This is what happened to me today while reading today's devotional because God reminded me that "His loving-kindness is better than my own life." Wow! This spoke to my soul.

This can happen when we keep in touch with God every day. He always speaks. We just have to truly listen and stay tuned to His voice. In today's blog, I want to share about not contaminating our faith or the faith of others around us. One thing is warning someone with love about things they are about to do, and another is contaminating their faith with words that are supposed to uplift words that contaminate their life just to justify what we are trying to say.

We have to be very careful with the words that come out of our mouths. However, God will nudge you when He wants you to deliver a word from Him to the person who will need to hear those words.

2 Kings 3:25 says, " They destroyed the towns, and each man threw a stone on every good field until it was covered. They stopped up all the springs and cut down every good tree. Only Kir Hareseth was left with its stones in place, but men armed with slings surrounded it and attacked it."

As we learn to "put God first in everything that we do" (Proverbs 3:6), we will see the importance of surrounding ourselves with people who are grounded in God. I have been surrounded by and love being around people who are centered on God because we want to imitate what they do. As we get to know them also, we will see the difference between those who said they follow Jesus but aren't giving fruit of their labor, versus those who walk the talk. There is a difference in their definition of what it means to walk with Jesus. One difference I can mention is the fervent prayers of those who are closer to God.

Praying is part of spending time with God and this way, the Lord can fill us with 'Living Water' (John 7:38). It's amazing to think that our lives can change in such positive ways when we let God be God in our lives. We will be edified (1 Corinthians 14:26), and become (John 3:30) a source of encouragement (1 Thessalonians 5:11) for others as well. Our behavior, actions, words, decisions, and daily lives will be transformed into the image of God.

As we continue to dive into God's Word, our lives will never be the same. Let's pray that the Lord gives us a hunger for His Word, for His presence, and understanding, wisdom, and knowledge of His Word so that He can reveal to us our purpose in this life. This is how we get clarity on what God wants us to do here while we are on this earth.
